Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
The story is a very diluted adaptation of "Crime and Punishment" and is disguised as a film noir movie. Clearly, it is a cheaply made B-movie intended to be the second half of a double feature at the movie theaters back in the '40s. It is an okay movie, nothing in it would be worth getting excited over. There are plenty of movies out there with a more solid storyline and execution of production that could be worth your time. I am not saying it is that bad of a movie, but more likely it is just not good enough to be spending too much of your time on it.
