Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
Knowing all about the "Me Too" accusations against James Franco before sitting down to watch this movie only makes his character creepier than usual in the context of this piece of knowledge. Also, it makes me wonder how much influence James had on the overall story of the movie since he is also its co-director. In regards to the move itself, it is pretty bad. The story tries too hard with its exposition to explain the back story of the universe in which it occurs. Then there is the constant voice-over from the main character who constantly explains her on-screen motivation to help move the story along to the next plot point even when her on-screen persona has no knowledge about motivation or emotion other than just following orders or asking questions about anything she does not know about yet.
