Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
Is it strange to think Adam McKay and Will Ferrell were producers for this movie? Maybe, I don't know. Here is another movie that is integral to a recent economic collapse in the United States; either the Dot Com Bubble of the early 2000s or the housing and economic bubble of 2008, which this movie is stemmed around the latter as a source of dramatic momentum. Anyway, the movie was well structured, although a little bit fragmented in the presentation. I was thinking the celebrity cameos in the first act would be reoccurring roles for the remainder of the story, but quickly fizzled out before the second act gained traction. The rest of the second and third acts played out like a traditional recap of a true story being regurgitated to a print journalist and then adapted into a movie.
