Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
Meh. I was going into the viewing of this movie expecting it to be a story about how Mary Shelley started her writing career and eventually creating Frankenstein. However, the first half of the movie is filled with nothing more than a story about a naive young lady who falls in love with a poet who is already married with a kid and they share a gushy and romantic relationship before she becomes pregnant with his child. The movie focuses more upon being a period romance story. I was hoping it would be about her writing career. It just wasn't the direction I was expecting it to go and pretty much lost most of my interest in viewing it.
