Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
The opening sequence is such a visual feast for the eyes! I am expected to suspend my disbelief in the logic-defying world of Mortal Engines from the very start. Cities have been mobilized into oversized recreational vehicles that can travel around the land at a fast pace. This would be a defiance of gravity and physics as we know it today. However, the movie throws the known laws of Earth science right out the window. The viewer is asked to have fun and not overthink how or why it could all work in our own reality. I enjoyed watching the movie. The plot follows the worn-out trope of familial revenge. But it tells the story with visual flair, cool action sequences, and fun performances from the actors.
