Pugsley McFly’s review published on Letterboxd:
The special effects did not age very well at all. And then there is the acting that could only be stretched so far with the mediocre scares and unimpressive story. The motivations for the characters' actions were clearly plot-driven, but even then it did not seem like enough to really add any depth and momentum to the story. Rumor has it that Steven Spielberg had his name stripped from the producing credit after watching the final cut of the movie and seeing how shoddy it turned out to be. I wouldn't be surprised if the rumor was true, but I am hesitant to believe everything I read in the trivia section on the movie's IMDb page.
