I was not really on this movies wave length for the first half. I could I understand what it was going for with the acting, but there was nothing happening with the story that made it click for me.
Enter the last 40ish minutes. Holy hell does this movie get fun by the last act. An entire bonkers fever dream of B movie horror with a decent effects budget.
I totally understand if you didn’t like it, but every choice James Wan makes here is incredibly purposeful so you can’t say he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
