Review to follow, but...this didn't have the same impact on me I think it's having on other people. It was beautiful in ways, and acted to the nines - Metcalf should win the Oscar, Saoirse is tremendous, and Beanie Feldstein steals it - but it failed to lock into my spine. No one to blame but myself.

This one sneaks up on you like you'd never know. Pretty special. Late Akerman influence is heavy. The kid making the film could be amazing.
Fractured and not altogether put back together again at any point, this remains an indescribably beautiful movie even for Malick, which neon lights and swelling music defining a more modern approach from this often distant filmmaker.
