This shares more DNA with 80s movies like Monster Squad, E.T., and The Goonies. It never really feels like a Ghostbusters movie even when the Ghostbusters show up. It’s almost never funny, weird but it’s ultimately okay because I found the characters so likable and easy to root for that I genuinely loved it… until the last ten minutes. 

The last ten minutes did something SO gross (you know what it is even if you didn’t see it) and it just felt very icky even if he would have wanted it. That lowered my score of this movie, but I still liked it.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but a character named Podcast who has a podcast fucking rules.
