    A nice demonstration of what Studio Ponoc is capable of. Absolutely stunning animation and art. This collection of short films consists of three little stories, each of them done in an individual artstyle. The stories themselves weren't anything special but they were really nice to look at. Having seen Mary and the Witch's Flower and now this, I still have the feeling that Studio Ponoc hasn't found the right story to tell yet. I sure hope they will soon, their animation staff is at the top of their game. They have all the tools to make something great one day.

    Nice anthology of anime shorts from Studio Ponoc which would be good to help with their filmography, with only a full-length film in their vault so far.

    1) Kanini and Kanino: A mix between "Finding Nemo" and "The Secret World of Arrietty", from the director of the latter, was a very Studio Ghibli style feature which really was the least interesting of the lot.
    I do like the realistic depiction of a river water filled with natural debris.

    2) Life…

    Die erste Geschichte ist ein steriler Arriety-Abklatsch, die anderen beiden lassen auf originellere Produktionen des Studios Ponoc hoffen.

    Pretty decent anthology film by ex-Ghibli folks. First short (Kanini & Kanino) is generic but okay. Second one (Life Ain't Gonna Lose) captures what it's going for really well but also doesn't really go anywhere. Final one (Invisible) is really well animated and satisfying to watch.

    Really hope Studio Ponoc makes more of these.

    Brief but very cute collection of short films, Ponoc is showcasing what they are capable of visually, and colour me impressed. All 3 look stunning, but the middle segment works best on an emotional level. Looking forward to the next group of shorts and whatever feature film the studio has in the pipeline.

    Obra do estúdio Ponoc (que veio de um membro do Studio Ghibli) logo a qualidade da história e das animações seguem o mesmo padrão; são 3 curtas dando um total de 50 min até onde eu lembre; a animação é ótima, porém a nota caiu um tico porque queria mais ;;;

    My opinion on Studio Ponoc films is, unfortunately, very conflicted. On one hand I appreciate that all the people behind one of the best (if not THE BEST) Studio for kid's films have chosen to continue working as Ghibli essentially closed down. Unfortunately the experience of Mizayaki and Takahata leaves Ponoc productions without the polished finish that characterised Ghibli. I absolutely loved the animation for the invisible man, it truly played to the strengths of someone so experienced in animation,…

    ‪Modest Heroes was a nice compilation of three short films from former Studio Ghibli artists. First short was decent while the rest, especially the 2nd one, were pretty good.‬

    3 cute, creative, and visually stunning short films from Studio Ponoc. I wish they were longer. They are good advertisement for the studio, but not very memorable.

    Invisible es la que más me gustó, con una idea interesante y un simbolismo obvio pero carente de la profundidad que podría llegar a tener. Animación muy suelta y con movimientos fluidos, me gusta que el agua tan característica de Studio Ghibli siga presente en Studio Ponoc.

    The spiritual successor to Ghibli is here. Studio Ponoc will hopefully continue the Ghibli legacy for years to come. This is a thoughtful anthology dealing with underwater borrowers, egg alergy kids and the Invisible Man. Worth keeping an eye on this studio.
