I can not really understand all the bad reviews around the movie. Admittedly - one can say that Kenneth Branagh staged as Hercule Poirot something self-righteous, but this is partly due to the character itself. For me, the film convinced not only by its fantastic cast, but also by creative long takes and a fast Narrative style, which manages to tell a sophisticated material clearly. I can not compare it to the other films of the book - I did not see any. It may be that the material has been filmed better, but that does not mean that this adaptation has failed. I would deny that too clearly. The bottom line is that it's a great movie that you enjoy watching and sticking to the novel.
