Really enjoyable Cinema Classics seminar at Bryn Mawr Film. All the facilitators have been great, but I particularly enjoyed tonight's professor, Paul McEwan of Muhlenberg College. He had a lighthearted, engaging style and shared some excellent perspective on this film as a product of the film factories of its era.

Probably don't need to say much about this film, but it's really pretty flawless, though of course you have to allow for the stylistic dialog of the era.

And, still, every time... I tear up at La Marseillaise.
