LEMME TELL YOU ME AND THE OSCARS GOT BEEF, HOW THE FUCK YALL GONE AWARD BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY AND IGNORE ROCKETMAN!? EXPLAIN QUICKLY
I admit i need to watch this again because seeing this for the first time it was A LOT but I enjoyed every second. I really like that this wasn’t your traditional paint by the numbers biopic (i mean Elton John and and traditional biopic do not go together lol) It was so entertaining, and I loved how it wasnt afraid to show the highs and lows Elton went through. I loved everything from the way his songs were incorporated, to the costumes, and the way it dealt with his addictions. Another thing that stood out to me was that movie more than anything was about his journey to self love.
Taron Egerton ATE IN THIS! He killed as Elton! His performance was great and I’m absolutely SICK THAT THE ACADEMY IGNORED HIM and knowing the reason why him and ultimately the film was snubbed makes me so angry.
Anyway this was a fantastic film and I was LIVING.
