Mean girls and aliens collide in this mostly entertaining but ultimately underdeveloped film that starts much too slow. By the mid-point the action kicks in, sort of, but seems to stuck in a repetitive pattern meant to build mystery perhaps? These one-note characters do all the predictable stuff, there's some gore, and some really good trippy scenes. I kept hoping it would veer off into a full-on horror comedy or something truly bizarre but it doesn't.
