STRESS RATING: 🌀🌀🌀
Incredibly engaging, to the point where you’re hanging on to every word like it’s a thriller, yet it rarely feels stressful per se. An average rating feels best.

I’m pretty sure I said something in my little Before Sunrise write-up about how close I was to giving the film a 10 (I gave it a 9.5) and it’s funny... Before Sunset somehow feels even closer. The dialogue, which is essentially the entire movie, is beautifully written, with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy somehow delivering it like they’re coming up with it in the spot. Love how the film looks, too — just as dreamy and romantic as the words coming out of the actors mouths. Richard Linklater, you stole my heart with this one.
