  With very few exceptions, it's pretty hard for me to get into a movie if I don't care about the characters, and the characters in this movie feel more like stand-ins for themes and concepts than actual flesh-and-blood humans. Daniel Kaluuya is a phenomenal actor, but his character is so flat and underdeveloped, I just couldn't find any reason to be invested in his story.   I hate this movie. It just hits every single wrong emotional chord with me possible, and I find every character deeply alienating. There aren't many movies that I find more repellant than this. It's just off-putting on a molecular level and I hope I never have to watch it again.
