This is very M. Night, in a lot of ways for better and in a few well-worn ways for the worse. It's nowhere near as fun and entertaining as Split, instead clearly choosing to embrace the slow, stayed tone of Unbreakable. It's not the most efficient movie in the world, but M. Night's going for something really cool here, and I applaud the ambition.

I'm of the belief that The Hoard is both McAvoy's most memorable performance and M. Night's best creation, and Glass does nothing to convince me otherwise.

They left the part out of the trailer where Bella's CHAINED TO A CORPSE FOR A WEEK, only to later be found by two 12 YEAR-OLD BOYS who not only find a poor starving dog, but also the BLOATED REMAINS OF A DEAD, HOMELESS VETERAN!

Needless to say, this was wild and I was not disappointed.

The friendship between Davis and George strings the movie together nicely, and Jeffery Dean Morgan is clearly having the time of his life.

    Rampage
is not slavishly devoted to its source material (which is obviously far too thin to support a feature film), and I think, for this reason, it's the best video game movie I can recall. The bar is inching upwards!

I am a very selective theater goer. I only go to movies that I am very confident will be great. This preserves the theater experience for me. With that in mind, I can honestly say that just about every time I walk out of a theater, I leave happy and exhilarated. I walked out of Interstellar, looked at my friend, then joined him in babbling on for the next half hour, trying to express our reaction to the movie. We…
