    The Wackness

I’ve probably watched this 20 times over the years and it always keeps me coming back for more. Perfectly captures New York City and the ‘90s with an amazing soundtrack. The best coming of age film that nobody’s seen.

    Pee-wee's Big Adventure

Had the privilege of seeing a 35th anniversary screening followed by stories from Paul Reubens. Truly a one of a kind film that can never be replicated. One of my all-time favorites.

    Hacksaw Ridge

Hacksaw Ridge, the latest from Mel Gibson, is a masterful piece of filmmaking. Based on a true story, this film recounts the life of Desmond Doss, a medal of honor recipient who refused to bear arms during WWII. Although the film is centered around a non-violent figure, there is no shortage of bone-chilling war sequences. I've always considered Andrew Garfield an underrated and underutilized talent. He delivers an incredible performance here and hopefully people will start to see what he's…

    Ex Machina

An outstanding, thought provoking film that's centered around the advancement of artificial intelligence. Ex Machina is stylish, well-acted and quite intense. It's also very unsettling, which is exactly what I want in a sci-fi thriller. I was so impressed with the performances, particularly Oscar Isaac, who I thought was absolutely brilliant in his role. It's a complex character that not anyone could pull off, but it's a performance that will stick with me. This is such a refreshing, smart film that mixes many different emotions. A fantastic sci-fi experience.
