    Strong 7 to light 8 but I have a feeling it will go up on repeat viewings.

    Most fun I had with a movie in 2019 by a mile.

    Extremely extremely funny.

    The "we won the war... I'm sorry" scene at the end was the most emotionally impactful scene of 2019 for me. Very very good

    Functionally everything about the premise and execution of this movie crumbles upon the most surface level observations.

    This isn't a "this is good movie but just dont think about it too hard" thing or a "you can ruin any movie by breaking it apart too much" because ANY question about the core premise is one question too many.

    I dont see these as "gotcha" questions, I see these as "literally the next half-step in the movie's own logic" questions that…

    This is like when key grips and lighting crew and editors get together and think they can direct their own film because they have been involved with the production of films for years.

    This was techniquely so good but narratively and tonally so so so disconnected.

    Self masturbatory and HYPER self indulgent.

    Between this and Midsommar I might as well just take an L for 2019 as a whole.
