Trumbo ★★★½

I love classic Hollywood, and this movie was a great representation of it. Trumbo's a pretty interesting film, and a not-bad bio of a radical thinker. Great performances all around, especially Bryan Cranston's portrayal of Dalton Trumbo. Other than Cranston, the film had Interesting characters, and colorful editing... but my real issue with the film is the length and it's structure. It felt about 20 minutes longer than it needed, and it didn't feel unique. It was 'by the numbers', and 'by the numbers' can be boring... and at times, it was kinda boring. It's not to a horrible extent though.

Is the film great? I don't think it is, but it is pretty good. I recommend this film for film buffs, because if you're not into film history, you're not going to be into this film.
