The Alphabet Club
A more slow burning science fiction film that attempts to examine what makes someone human. Is it intelligence, empathy, individualism, or some other intangible, but innate characteristic. The idea of replicants is really fascinating and you definitely emphasize with their desire to find their place in society and survive.
The effects have aged amazingly and they create a compelling dystopian world. I do wish we got more knowledge about the off-world colonies, but I haven’t seen Blade Runner 2049, so maybe they examine that more.
Week 1- Letter A
I was going to review The Avengers for the letter A, but because The is in front of it I decided against it and I just finished this movie so I figured I would use it.
Although this movie is less colorful than Bugs Life, I think it’s funnier and smarter in the ideas that is presents. I think I probably enjoyed it more watching it as an adult. Woody Allen as a neurotic…
