    Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers

    I finally watched the "producers cut" and it's no better or worse. Maybe it's a little worse.

    They could have used the whole rune angle to try tying this to the third movie maybe, that could have been interesting.

    Although, the first movie is just a movie in the third movie.

    For a fan film, it's actually pretty good. the concept was very interesting and I'd like to see a full length movie of it, done better of course.

    The Yautja was a lot better looking than I expected, although the person in the costume walked funny.

    This was better than most Predator movies, that says a lot.

    I never thought a movie about the creation of the English dictionary would be so great.

    It was interesting seeing the start the dictionary being created (something I feel we take for granted now), also the people and their lives behind its creation. Most of all Dr. William Chester Minor (the madman). Sean Penn and Mel Gibson are outstanding in this, arguably both of their best performances. Everyone casted in this film was amazing.

    Life as a House


    This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

    Maybe it is because this film strikes a personal cord with me, but I love it to death and cry every time I watch it.

    The metaphor of rebuilding your life, relationships and friendships while rebuilding a house is kind of heavy, but it is never over the top. The acting is great, the story is realistic and the character arcs feel genuine.
