I liked it a lot. The tight narrative, the great performances, especially from Clooney, Balfe and the amazing O'Connell elevate this movie one notch up. It plays pretty well with the current themes of media centred moguls telling people what to do with their money, good old corporate corruption and some nice character drama, if it is a bit cliched.
Foster directs it with energy, and the movie moves quickly through its 100 minutes duration. It might not be as biting or subversive as the greats like Network, or as on point as Margin Call, but it is sufficiently entertaining and preachy. A good old, mid-budget drama movie. I like the sort.
