what works great in this film is that the stakes actually feel relevant, even if many of the characters are supposed to be weird & expendable. while the humor & pacing isn't perfect, it's overall an enjoyable watch and the standout characters (the core of the group by the third act) truly standout.
A fantastic, well-balanced, better version of what Age of Ultron could (should) have been. It seems even more now that Age of Ultron was a device so that this movie could exist. Even with all these characters and varying motives, the focus here is clear. Using Captain America's character as a way to frame the story helps a lot.
