A haunting portrait of addiction. I had almost no idea what I thought of it when the credits rolled but the film stuck with me for days and I couldn't get it's images out of my head. I ultimately decided it was fantastic.
JJ Abram's best movie so far (by a lot). There's still something disingenuous about his directing style, like he's more concerned that I like him than that he is about telling a good story. But the kids did a good job emotionally so it worked.
