Odd Quebecois comedy about a woman who decides to leave her lawyer husband and live a natural life on a farm. She starts a sort of commune with a few of the local men, and a few miracle are (possibly) performed. I believe a lot of understanding is lost from not knowing anything about the rural politics of Quebec in 1972, but oh boy, those accents are a delight.
A really great concept with two really great performances (Hamish Linklater & Samantha Sloyan), bogged down by endless monologuing, bad effects and a few uninspired performances in the leads. This could have been a solid 4 or 5 episodes. Maybe.
Also why does everyone sing like they’re constantly auto tuned?
