The epitome of a heartwarming and joyous viewing experience, Disney’s Encanto is a fantastic companion to an earlier 2021 release Luca, not only in the story told but because of the relatable characters at the center of the frame. Smaller in scale to other Disney animated features, the audience follows a less traditional story of self-discovery and acceptance that feels like it is coming from a different studio in its entirety. Bright colors and quirky characters are only mere additions to the magic on display, as the story itself fully immersed me into this world. Is this how people feel when they watch Studio Ghibli films?
