Christopher Rowe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Way to plant, Egg!
I’m still not exactly what story so compelled the Conjuring Cinematic Universe to make this particular film. While there are some cleverly shot and edited sequences, the whole experience couldn’t help but feel empty and joyless (in a way a horror film should never feel joyless, even if it is empty).
Anyway. I complain, but I’ve already preordered my ticket for THE NUN AND LA LLORONA MEET DRACULA, so I’m actually a hypocrite.
