This movie probably isn’t good. And if you think about the plot too much, it doesn’t make much sense (which me and Brendon discovered having dinner after the movie). But man I love me some Tom Holland so I had a hoot of a time. And it’s got one of the funniest shots in film history that me and Brendon will be recreating for years to come.

My first Jane Campion movie and it’s brilliant! Love me a solid western film, and add on some great performances and a slow, but moving story, you’ve got yourself an all-time classic in the making. Cumberbatch is just so good as this vile man that you can’t help but keep your eyes on him. It’s one of the year’s best performances. Kodi Smit-McPhee is also pretty great too, which I never expected from him, he stood his own against greats like Dunst and Cumberbatch. Beautiful cinematography and music really makes us feel immersed in this story. Sure thr CGI can look wonky, but it’s used sparingly.

A slight improvement over the previous film, but my goodness is this still a mess. So much mindless VFX (which all look pretty good) and the worst human characters out of the four movies. Alexander Skarsgård is just so boring as the white male lead of the film. Can we please stop having white male leads in this series please? PLEASE??

I hate that I’m rating this so low. I’ve heard nothing except excellent thing about this movie for years and years, and I finally watch it to discover that it just wasn’t for me. The animation does look nice, but I was let down by some weaker characters and plot elements that kept me from getting further hooked by this movie. I was left confused at times until it all became clear, but there are still elements which I don’t…

This is a frustrating doc in a lot of ways. It focuses a lot on these 3 families, and each of them have their own tragic backgrounds about why they fled to Sweden. We learn about their kids having Resignation Syndrome, but that’s about it. Their characters are defined by this syndrome that is starting to effect more and more kids. The doc decides to show a narrow focus of it, and there was an opportunity to do a deeper…
