Sherwin Yu’s review published on Letterboxd:
"To passing through."
In the final shot, Linklater zooms out, and we are reminded that Jesse and Celine are not sitting alone, but rather sitting among a sea of other tables with people meeting, discussing, laughing, learning, arguing, reconciling, and living. One more chapter to a story shared by all the romantics that have ever lived. The beauty and burden of life is that we endure it together, and to accept this is to find the will to continue. To be ephemeral is to be everlasting.
Might just be the most imperfect movie that I love.
