Shikhar Verma’s review published on Letterboxd:
Life, death and everything in between.
Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali is about life in it's nude form. Bare, tragic, innocent and so real. Ray's vision of a family that doesn't stop plucking into the tree that gave them sadness just because it gave them a shed too is heartbreaking. The innocence of living the first memories of childhood while being constantly haunted by a demoness have been painted with strokes of vital kaleidoscopic dreams that may or may not become realities.
It rambles along seamlessly but so does life, right?
