In terms of these massive IP corporate crossover movies, this might be the one to have me least want to kill myself.

    Evil Dead

Doesn't do anything outstanding or offensively bad, just successfully does what it sets out to do. Fun gore and cool monster effects with a strangling atmosphere throughout. The throwbacks to the original films range from satisfying to unsatisfying (only Sam Raimi can do the zoom-ins justice) and in the end is just a shameless remake riding the success of the namesake. For what it is, though, it can be quite enjoyable.
