The third Bruce Lee movie I've seen, and the only officially directed Bruce. The story for these movies are basically all the same—Bruce shows up to help family or friends somewhere and ends up saving their life with martial arts.

Like those others, I don't care too much about the characters here. The fight scenes are a lot of fun, once again—I like how Lee keeps kicking the same four or five guys asses throughout the movie. The finale against…

The sixth film I've seen directed by Andre de Toth. de Toth's final film is a fitting one, a quite dark African WW2 adventure movie.

Lou Bloom is a capitalistic force of nature. The film's not really about him, but about the tragedy he brings in tow. Lou doesn't get worse—by the end, we realize he always had it in him. He gets hungrier the more he eats. That is his arc. He's a growing hurricane, he's the logical end of The American Dream. He's the man with a five year plan.

This is how you drive a plot.

This is how you build tension.

This is how you indict media.

This is how you indict the audience.

This is how you make a movie.

Boring feckless procop fake woke cash grab which functions as violence towards the original work, with a great cast of strong actors and extremely high production value. Which is to say this is the television show of the year for those uninterested in reading beyond surface details.
