Fear Street: 1666

Fear Street: 1666 ★★★★

a triumphant conclusion to an unexpectedly incredible trilogy

choosing to make the first half of the final installment in a supernatural slasher series a brooding folk horror tale in the vein of the witch was a bold choice… but i’d say the risk paid off. it made the return to the pace and tone of the first two parts in the second half that much more rewarding, and honestly, questionable “”colonial”” accents aside, i ended up enjoying the first half just as much as the second half. the whole thing was excellent—truly the grand finale this trilogy deserved

i’m devastated that i don’t have another one of these to watch next week, but i’m very satisfied with how it ended
