Matt Fisher’s review published on Letterboxd:
I'm still not entirely sure how I felt about this one. A film entirely in Ukrainian sign language; no subtitles, no translations, no voice-overs. Each scene was one long take, and with the violence and mayhem each scene presented it's hard not to genuinely admire the craft and ability of all involved especially considering that many of the actors involved had minimal experience acting (I'm assuming, unless Ukraine has a huge market for deaf actors I'm unaware of). I've just seen too many of these 'Soviet/Post-Soviet shithole territories being breeding grounds for animalistic brutality' flicks. This is better, and more brutal, than most of it's peers, but what this boils down to is a story I've seen too many times told to me in a very unique way.
