Siegel™’s review published on Letterboxd:
A film with an exhilarating premise that is brilliant in its simplicity, building itself exclusively around enforcing the tension around the central conceit. If the bus slows down, it explodes. That's it. As a result, Speed is no-frills filmmaking even in its big-budget excess. Filled with some really good vehicle stunts and amusing dialogue, it always finds new ways to keep you on the edge of your seat without ever really adding anything to or changing up the basic structure in any way. Keanu Reeves is perfect in the lead role, as the complete lack of nuance requires nothing from him except to be the action star he is.
