Landline ★★★½

Las Vegas Film Festival 2017: While not as focused or bracing as Jenny Slate and Gillian Robespierre's previous collaboration on Obvious Child, this movie has its more low-key charms, including the unnecessary but amusing 1995 period setting and the slowly building family dynamic. It recalls gentler, more empathetic versions of Woody Allen or Whit Stillman, without pulling punches in its depictions of infidelity and getting older.
