"Haven't you heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"
"I don't listen to hip-hop."
Never been much of a South Park guy (I prefer the quaint and slightly absurd pleasures of The Simpsons and the razor sharp early seasons of Family Guy) but Matt Stone and Trey Parker's film adaptation of the beloved TV show is a musical joy, embracing the beauty in vulgarity and the controversy it inevitably carries. So much of the runtime is uniquely focused on basking in the fucks and shits that when it begins to conclude with a degree of grace, it's unusually satisfying. Not as potent as Team America but just as charming in its confidence.
