A knowingly pretentious but expertly crafted ode to journalism and French cinema. Obviously the anthology format means that the movie as a whole can feel a bit disjointed but the overarching theme binds it all together pretty well. By no means my favorite of Wes’ films, but a giant *chef’s kiss* nonetheless.

A giant waste of time. There were moments throughout where I was definitely sucked into the story, but at the end of the fourth episode when all of the facts are finally put on the table, you just feel like you’ve wasted 4 hours of your life on something that could have easily been boiled down to a 15 minute YouTube video...
I feel like this documentary is just as much of a story about these so-called “web sleuths” going…
