Down with Love

Down with Love ★★★★½

Somehow perfectly nails the aesthetic of a 1960s romantic comedy while also being an utterly delightful and self-aware rom-com on its own terms. Zellweger and McGregor are both exceptional here (especially when they’re onscreen together), and it’s nice to see a studio comedy that is legitimately well shot and edited.

Anyone who sees this and still thinks that Peyton Reed isn’t a good director is absolutely wrong.
