I’ve waited an age to catch this movie and was pretty overhyped by the time I got to see it. Despite that, Possessor did not disappoint. With an intelligent script and lean structure this film mashes sci-fi and assassination thriller to maximum effect. Any criticism would be that the film just barely touched on the wildness that this environment could allow. I can see a whole world building set of stories built around this premise and Possessor just scratches the surface. Still it’s going to leave a scar.

Bleak and stylised, this film won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure shook my branches.

Shot partly on the new Alexa 65mm digital camera using medium format lenses gives us…
