Jordan Sarf’s review published on Letterboxd:
Human moments are hard to script. Feelings of sympathy, loss, and hardship shape our identities and lead us down paths of growth and maturity. This film did an excellent job of showing that.
Lighting, sound, and cinematography was the best I’ve seen from a film this year, and maybe this decade. All the elements of a shot were well thought out and felt organic enough to naturally feel emotion, even though what we see and hear is being controlled.
Acting was delicate and real. You can really feel the emotional paths of the characters and believe what they’re feeling to be true.
A24 is gold. Give this a watch.
