I could never get sick of this movie. Sissy Spacek is fantastic, as she always was and always will be. Her performance far exceeds what would have sufficed. She brought such beauty and graceful innocence to the role that the climax was just as heartbreaking as it was disturbing- something that can't often be said of a horror movie. In this aspect, I felt it was very much like the book.
The rest of the cast was great too, especially Piper Laurie and Betty Buckley. John Travolta gets an honorable mention because of his hair.
Plug it up.
