I hadn't seen a good Shyamalan film since 'Unbreakable' (I enjoyed 'The Village' but wouldn't say it was good). So it was refreshing to see him back in good shape for 'Split', doing what he does best - supernatural thrillers that explore the limits of the human mind.
Wowza! What was I expecting? Not this. 2 hours of epicness!!
Mad Max is one hell of a ride. Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult are on point, and so is everyone else. The visuals blew me away. George Miller has created a completely unique world and I loved every second I was in it.
Finally got round to watching this film, which I knew I would love. Moral of the story: Don't fuck around with artificial intelligence. And more importantly, don't fuck around with women.
The physical construction of Ava was really impressive. Alicia Vikander managed to pull of a certain iciness that befits a robot, while maintaining a very humane sexuality. Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac were ok too.
This is what good, mind-provoking sci-fi looks like.
