Probably a great companion piece to Issa López's 'Tigers are Not Afraid' for its depiction of children at war and traumas, Alejandro Landes' 'Monos' is a powerfully gripping film that entices its audiences with stunning visuals and intense storytelling right from the very first frame. Mica Levi’s blood-pumping score also add a surreal element to the proceedings - the mix of beautiful sights and harsh sounds creating an unforgettable haunting experience for the movie. Hypnotic.
