Nicolas Cage's raw performance does little to save Michael Sarnoski's undercooked 'Pig.' The film is a character study about grief and loss, but the manner it is told makes it feel overly long and slow. The cinematography is superb. The acting is excellent. The film itself could have progressed more smoothly. Seeing Cage gives a very soulful performance is easily the best part about the movie.
