This is not usually my cup of tea, but lawd it's the little details here as well as the oscar worthy performance of Kristen Stewart that really elevates this movie. I love the cinematography emphasizing the symmetry and stillness of the oppressive royal life, and the fluidity of the camera showing that Diana longs for freedom as well as her general sickness of the setting. From a technical perspective, the lighting, sound, etc are on point. They didn't need to be, but they are, and it makes many of the sequences more engaging and impactful. After watching several Netflix Christmas movies about how fucking amazing it is to be a royal, this is exactly what was needed.
