The Virgin Suicides ★★★★½

A stunningly sweet and morbid tale that fulfilled all of my desires of being a teenager in the 70s.

Set against the Americana background we love to lust after, to give us a dreadful truth that we move past misfortune as though it was nothing more than stepping over a crack in the sun-baked pavement. How ridicule is the way most who do not understand mental illness decide to make their peace with it. A vital message for the time and still an important message today.
