    A cute, colorful, low-key slice of life. I have a soft spot for these kinds of anime films because of how therapeutic they are. Not a lot is at stake and it stays true to its tone throughout, despite its aimless nature. As someone with self-esteem issues, I found the story relatable enough to keep me involved.     Though lacking the substance that carried its predecessor and tacking on quite a few plot points that barely go anywhere, Shazam! Fury of the Gods still manages to offer a decent enough surge of superhero thrills and quirky fun. The studio interference is abundant in how unfocused it is but I still had a fairly enjoyable time. It definitely could've been better.
