  At first glance, Babylon appears to be yet another “movie about movies”. A tribute to Hollywood and the eccentric world of cinema and its stars. Damien Chazelle’s strays away from sweeping his audience into a whirlwind of glitz and glamour, and instead showcases Hollywood’s darker side. Full of drugs, alcohol, wild sex parties and (as an incredibly exciting section with Tobey Maguire shows us) even darker things still, Babylon isn’t your typical “Love Letter” film.
